The City of Ann Arbor had big plans for sustainability at the new Municipal Center, so it was fitting that InSite was selected as the lead site designer.  InSite was tasked with creating a site that connected the new Police and Justice Center with the existing City Hall, as well as designing the surrounding streetscape along Huron Street and Fifth Avenue.

When it comes to stormwater, this site has it all.  With engineering support from Conservation Design Forum, InSite designed a series of innovative green infrastructure techniques to capture the 100-year storm.  The stormwater system includes green roofs, cisterns, infiltration cells, stormwater planters, permeable pavements, and native plantings that absorb stormwater and look beautiful.
